6 reviews for Cowl Induction Muzzle Brake – Gen 2

  1. 5 out of 5

I have experimented with several different muzzle breaks for several rifles in my arsenal, but the gen 2 cowl induction is hands down the best. I have it mounted on my M14 EBR and the recoil dropped dramatically. Furthermore, the customer service and staff are unbeatable. After ordering this muzzle brake it took 4 days and it was on my doorstep.

Thank you Tanner for giving us our first online review of the Gen 2 CIB since it’s recent release. We really appreciate your feedback on the ZRODelta Gen 2 muzzle brake and the positive results you got from it.

Does zrodelta offer the gen 2 or 1 cowl induction brake in custom, nontypical threading?

The Gen 1 CIB offers more variety than the Gen 2 in size and thread pitch, so you may find what you are looking for under the Gen 1, however we do not manufacture custom thread sizes. Thank you for your inquiry and interest.

I mounted a Gen I CIB on my Bergara BMP Creedmoor. I am very impressed. It installed easily, looks great, and best of all it performs better than any other brake I have experience with.

I plan on getting a Gen II for my Savage Stealth chambered in the 6.5 also.

Are there plans for one that will fit the Savage 110 BA .338?

    I would want one.

The Gen 1 .338 CIB comes in two sizes – 5/8″ 24 TPI and M18x1.5. If yours is a standard barrel, the 5/8″ 24 TPI is the one you’d order. Unfortunately we do not have a .338 in the Gen 2 in the works right now.

Does the Bergara BMP 6.5 Creedmoor have a large enough shoulder for the generation II? And how many shims are usually used?
    Thank you for the information.

Not having had the pleasure to hold the Bergara B14 BMP myself, the best I can tell you is to remove the thread protector from the end of the barrel and if the diameter of the threads is less than the outer diameter of the barrel right behind the threads, the CIB will work for it. Hope this helps.

Have been considering getting one of these muzzle breaks for a while. Was fortunate enough to shoot a rifle similar to mine with one of these breaks and it makes a tremendous difference. I give it a 4/5, muzzle break has some deformation marks on it upon receiving from either a vice, type of vice tool or machining. Other then this, the muzzle break appears to be of excellent quality.

I added the Gen II on the Smith and Wesson MP 16 6.5 Creedmore. With the shims it was a five minute job. The MP 10 is extremely accurate, now with the muzzle brake maintaining target acquisition is a breeze. It has the recoil of an AR 15 223 or a bit less. While as the shooter I do not notice any difference in the sound of the shot. But if you are behind me at a 45 degree angle you feel the blast and it sounds like a cannon. So my friends know not to stand too close. As for me it is the best, and well I don’t notice the sound difference, and I am the only one that matters on this subject. (LOL)
